the Instructor
Baris
Kabak is a PhD candidate at the Linguistics Department. He is interested
in phonology, phonetics, speech perception, and first and second language
phonological development. Currently, he has been working on his dissertation
which explores the intluence of first language phonological restrictions
on the perception of sound combinations in second language acquisition.
As a native speaker of Turkish, he has also worked on Turkish phonology,
prosody, and morphology.
